Refund policy

We have a 7-day return policy, which means you have 7 days from the date of purchase.

Return Conditions

  • Opened Appliances: Appliances that have been opened or installed must be returned within 7 Day of delivery or pickup. You must report any damage, defects, or dissatisfaction within this timeframe. The appliance must be in its original condition, with all components, manuals, and accessories included.

  • Unopened Factory Sealed Appliances: Returns of unopened appliances within 14 days require the item to be in its original, undamaged, factory-sealed packaging.

  • Damaged or Defective Items: If an appliance is delivered damaged or defective, you must notify us within 7 days of delivery or pickup. For online orders, you should inspect the appliance with the delivery driver present and refuse delivery if damage is evident. For in-store purchases, inspect the appliance before leaving the store.

  • Non-Returnable Items: Delivery, installation, and haul away are non-refundable. Items are subject to a 20% restocking fee and must be returned to the original store of purchase.

Return Process

  • In-Store Purchases: Returns must be made at any Discount Appliance Store location. Bring the appliance, all original packaging, accessories, and proof of purchase (receipt, order confirmation, and credit card used for payment).

  • Online Purchases: Contact our Customer Service team at 240-339-5163 within 7 days to initiate a return. For large appliances, we may arrange a home pickup if eligible for an additional fee, or you may return the item to a store location. 

  • Proof of Purchase: A valid receipt, order confirmation, and the credit/debit card used for the purchase is required for all returns. If you lack proof of purchase, we cannot issue you a return.

  • Refunds: Refunds will be issued to the original method of payment within 7-10 business days of processing the return, depending on your financial institution. 

Additional Information

  • Manufacturer Warranty: If a return is not initiated within the 7 day window for opened appliances, you may need to contact the manufacturer for warranty service. Contact our Customer Service team for assistance with manufacturer contact information.
